MFM operate a team based approach to managing client relationships in both London and in New York. This means that although clients have a main point of contact, at any time the rest of the team is aware of a particular client's requirements.

Roger Heaton – European and US Equities

Roger has over 16 years experience of equity markets. Prior to joining MFM, Roger worked in London and Frankfurt for GNI (now part of Man Group) for 7 years. Roger manages MFM's relationships with a number of European asset managers and hedge funds. Roger is a fluent German and French speaker.

Carlos Timmers – European and US Equities

Carlos started his financial markets career in January 1998 as a floor broker for Bank Labouchere in Amsterdam. He traded AEX-Index options for four and a half years in the pit until the market went screen based. Carlos joined MFM when he moved to London in 2002. Fluent in Dutch and Spanish, Carlos manages our relationships with a number of Europe's largest pension fund managers.

Miles Hayward – Fixed Income and Money Markets

Miles started his career in 1987 and spent 6 years trading European Equities, 3 of which were on the Munich Stock Exchange. Miles then worked for GNI for 6 years as a senior Fixed Income sales trader before joining the Salomon Brothers derivatives desk. After 2 years Miles was asked to join Mako Financial Markets to set up and run the Fixed Income sales trading business. Miles is a fluent German speaker.

Laura Smith – Fixed Income and Money Markets

After graduating with a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Queensland (Australia) in 2000, Laura joined the Investment Banking Division of Macquarie Bank in Sydney. In 2001, Laura joined Goldman Sachs International in their London office, working as an analyst in the Loan Syndications and Trading Group. She joined Mako in 2002, initially in Product Control before moving into MFM in 2003. Laura is interviewed regularly on CNBC to discuss the European interest rate markets.

Quentin Baker – Fixed Income and Money Markets

Following University, Quentin worked for 1 year for an FX trading firm before Joining Mako in early 2000. He trained on the European Fixed Income market-making desk before joining MFM at its inception in 2001. Quentin covers European, US and UK long and short-end markets and appears on CNBC on a regular basis to discuss these options markets in depth.

Dave Hutchinson – Fixed Income, Money Markets and Oil Options

After graduating from the University of Edinburgh with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, David started life in the City as an accountant before making the move into futures trading. After 2 years trading short term interest rates, fixed income and equity futures for a proprietary trader, David moved into sales trading bridging interest rate and FX markets in London before joining Mako in 2008.

Rhys Rogers – Fixed Income and Money Markets (New York)

Rhys Rogers has over 17 years experience in derivatives. He was formerly a Director of GNI Limited, where his duties included running the major options broking operation on LIFFE, and the Paris based GNI/CDC joint venture Trifutures. He also has a wealth of experience in the credit markets, having also broked credit derivatives and syndicated loans. Rhys joined Mako Group in 2005 to set up and run Mako Financial Markets LLC ("MFM LLC") in New York. Rhys is a fluent French speaker.

Simon Gittins – Fixed Income and Money Markets (New York)

Simon graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in European Studies with Spanish. He joined Mako in 2003 and worked in Product Control before joining Mako's market maker programme. After 2 years Simon was promoted to work as a sales trader with MFM LLC in New York.

Harley Evans – European and US Equities (New York)

After attending graduate school at the University of Chicago, Harley gained seven years experience as an equity options market maker on the CBOE and AMEX and the CME in currency options. He then joined Man Financial and started a futures desk that was responsible for executing futures and options strategies for hedge fund clients across the globe. He has traded for the last 6 years in the US interbank market for listed and OTC equity derivatives. He joined MFM LLC in New York from Fimat in 2006 to provide execution, market insight and flow information for European and US based clients.
